A card with dimension.....but folds flat.

This is the front view of the card.....
To make this card all I have used is centra pearl card, core'dinations card, 2 of the crafters companion embossing folders and sentiment die and a topper from the thelwell paper pad.
I wanted a card with lots of dimension but not using  lots of layers, using the embossing folders I think also gave you dimension too. You will see in the next picture the side view of the card and how it works......
I have made the card an 8"8" card, I will add the measurements and how I made it soon, but it's pretty simple and could be made in lots of different sizes
Something different xx

3d project

I've never been good at designing products, they never end up how I thought they would, but I never give up as I do really enjoy it and practice makes perfect......
So what's starts with a piece of
Scrap paper and lots of doodling (while cooking the family's dinner) and planning I used my big score to come up with an embellishment box, but could be used for lots of things and would make a lovely gift............

The out side of the box using an image from the makey bakey mice cd and the flowers are some of the embellishments from the cd.........
Here is the iside of the box 3 little boxes filled with flowers, buttons and gems. Have used another image from the makey bakey mice cd. For the whole box I have used Kraft card and crafter companions new double sided a 3 card.
I really do love how it has all come together......already planning how I can change it and make it bigger.  At some point I will added the measurements so you can all try.

Thelwell paper kit

This is a fab paper kit from crafters companion, soon as I saw it the ideas of what I could do started rolling in, the kit is suitable for everyone, I haven't had a chance to play with the cd yet as I brought that for my daughter for her Tuesday as she loves horses so will wait till she un wraps it for me to have a play.
For this card I used Kraft card as a base card, then embossed some core'dinations and sanded back.
I have only used a tiny bit of the card stock from the kit (this is how you can make your kit go further) I matted it onto a piece of gold mirri and added a piece of pale ribbon. I only used one topper from the kit, I placed the frames on flat and the actual topper on foam pads. I finished of with a bow and a few gems xx

A tasty treat....

YUM YUM........

When I first got my ultimate pro I got a bit obsessed with tea light cards, I really enjoyed making them.
Just before Valentine's day I had a customer request to make a really special card and I thought of a tea light card but instead of tea lights I used lindt chocolate eggs.
I also wanted to make the card bigger by adjusting the measurements.
For the card I used crafters companion special occasions paper kit.
I have loved the way this turned out and already thinking of Mother's Day and Easter

It's been a while.......

It has been a while since I have been and updated my blog, I've been keeping really busy with my facebook page and re designing my new craft room which I really do love I will up load some pictures so you can see how it is changed.
I am still working with the same products, hunkydory and crafters companion but trying to use them in a different way instead of making just a square or rectangle card. At the end of the month I'm looking at ordering a brother scan and cut so I can take my crafting to a whole new level.
It's scary to think that in a couple of weeks I first started card making 10 years ago, I have learnt (and brought) so much and I'm sure that will continue.
I'm in my second year of raising money for the air ambulance and already beaten last years take,
........well what more can I say, I'm really going to try to update my blog much more as its so nice to have to look back on and see how I have improved

Hunkydory- Fairy Sweethearts x

For this card I started of with an 8x8" card blank and covered it with rainbow card, I then placed a piece of foiled paper from the paper pad. I had a piece of it left over so I cut 2 pieces 8"x 1.5" and joined the end together then with a score board I scored at every half inch then the folded using mountain and valley folds then joined the ends together to form a circle, with a glue gun I place some glue in the middle and pushed the paper together and placed the sentiment on top while the glue was still wet.
With the topper I used diamond sparkles on the fairies wings and placed all the topper to the card.
Then by a mistake I dropped some glue on to the card and it had left a mark when I got it of so luckily on the same topper sheet there was some silver hearts so I used these to cover up the marks.
I finished of with some gems and an insert, what little girl wouldn't love a card like this xx

Crafters Companion - Barkley

I was so pleased when Crafters Companion brought out a Barkley paper kit with all the extras and at the moment I think it may be one of my favourite kits

For this card all I have used is a topper and border with a sentiment from the kit, the papers were from the paper pad.
I started by covering an 7" card blank and used a bit of distress ink to ink around the edges, then with some of the co-ordinating paper I cut a 5.5" square and then cut it in half to produce two triangles and again inked around the edges, these were then placed to the top and bottom corner, I then took a shaped card blank and cut it in half and covered it with another piece of co-ordinating piece of paper and placed it down at an angle then placed the topper and sentiment and finished the card with a bow and some gems.
